Meet Nathan Estrin, DMD, MS
Dr. Nathan Estrin is a board-certified periodontist committed to providing the most modern periodontal procedures while remaining actively involved in clinical research and education. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University before completing his DMD degree at the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Florida.
Dr. Estrin went on to specialize in Periodontology at Stony Brook University in New York, where he completed a three-year residency focused on dental implants and periodontal regenerative therapy. During his residency, he developed a strong passion for research and advancing the field of periodontics. He has published numerous articles related to implant dentistry and peri-implantitis and has contributed key research articles and book chapters focused on the use of lasers in periodontology and implant dentistry.
Today, Dr. Estrin practices in Sarasota, Florida, where he combines evidence-based care with a commitment to continued innovation. Despite being a full-time clinician, he remains deeply involved in research and education, with more than 50 publications and four book chapters to his name—and counting. His professional interests continue to focus on regenerative dentistry and bridging the gap between scientific research and real-world clinical application.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Estrin serves as adjunct faculty at the LECOM School of Dental Medicine and the University of Iowa and is a lead educator for PRFedu, where he enjoys helping dental offices implement and better understand emerging technologies and treatment advancements.
